AB1203-GK5 communication module
The 1203-GK5 module mounts on a DIN rail system and connects to SCANport products with the use of a SCANport cable. Some features on the module include DIP switches to enable the user to configure the module before connecting it to the DeviceNet network. The module also has a Faulted Node Recovery system, enabling one to change the node address of a device. The user fault response configuration allows the user to customize the adapter actions to communication errors, and LEDs aid in diagnosing network and SCANport health. Required tools and equipment to set up the 1203-GK5 are as follows: DeviceNet communications module (1203-GK5), either a 5-pin or 10-pin plug-in connector, 35 x 7.5 mm DIN rail, 1/8” flathead screwdriver, and appropriate cables for SCANport and DeviceNet connections. Specifications for the 1203-GK5 module include an input voltage of 12 to 25 V DC, an input current of 110 mA, and a SCANport load of 60 mA. Environmental specifications include an operating temperature to be kept between 0 and 50 Degrees (C), a storage temperature to be kept between -40 and 85 Degrees (C), and a relative humidity to be kept between 0 and 95% (non-condensing). Baud rates for communication specifications are as follows: 125, 250, and 500 k BPS. The mechanical dimensions of the device include a height of 76 mm (3.0 in.), a width of 45 mm (1.8 in.), a depth of 123 mm (4.8 in.), a NEMA Type 1 enclosure, and a DIN Rail Standard of 35 mm x 7.5 mm (1.38 in. x 0.30 in.).
